Adopt a Room
The Adopt A Room program at the Ronald McDonald House allows the community to help provide a home away from home for families of critically ill or injured children receiving medical treatment from an Albuquerque area hospital.
Adopting one of the thirty guest rooms in our House for one year provides families with much more than just a roof over their heads. You are helping provide support, home-cooked meals, and relief from their stressful situations. Ronald McDonald House asks families for a suggested nightly donation of $15, yet most are unable to afford that. No one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.
Your funding will sponsor all the families who sleep in that room throughout the year and help underwrite the cost of one room’s annual operating expenses. Most importantly, you are helping families focus on what matters most – the health of their children.
Without our House, families who have traveled to Albuquerque seeking medical treatment might have to sleep in the hospital lobby, in their child’s hospital room, or even their cars, as most families cannot afford a hotel for weeks or months — especially under the financial stress of mounting medical bills.
