Our Ronald McDonald House is the location of our core Lodging Program, our cornerstone.
Keeping the Healing Touch of Parents within Reach
Many families travel over 50 miles for pediatric treatments in Albuquerque. The treatment may last a day, a month, or longer. It's a long time to be away, or to divide a family. The House asks each family to donate $15 per night; however, if it’s not possible to pay, the fee is always waived.
Our Ronald McDonald House on the North Campus of UNM, offers temporary lodging for 30 families nightly. There is ample free parking.
Families who stay at our Ronald McDonald House better communicate with their child’s medical team and keep up with complicated treatment plans.
The Lodging Program consists of private sleeping rooms with full baths for each family as well as complimentary services not found in standard lodging choices:
- Private family bedrooms
Passes to local attractions Wireless internet access Tempur-Pedic Beds Private direct line phones Cribs and bassinets Fully stocked kitchens Baby quilts & afghans TV/Movie Players in guestrooms BBQ area Outdoor play spaces Breast Milk Supplies Phone cards Movie libraries Linens Continental breakfast Books & periodicals Hair dryers Home-cooked dinners Cable TV Business Center services Computer Workstations Assigned refrigerated space Bath amenities Transportation Private food cabinets Stocked Laundry Facilities
The New Mexico charity is supported by generous donors, volunteers and the community.

Families face their medical crisis together. Although the interior design is "hotel" standards, the Ronald McDonald House has a warm and caring home-like environment.
Families share the expansive living, dinning and play areas while they enjoy meals and snacks, do laundry, access computers, visit the book and movie library, and find emotional support among families facing similar situations.
