Who We Serve
Keeping Families Close
Every day, families with critically ill and injured children travel to Albuquerque to access essential medical care unavailable in their communities. Since 1982, the Ronald McDonald House lodging program has offered unduplicated services to families living 50 miles or more from Albuquerque. In 2020, the House provided 2,529* nights of lodging. Cost to operate the lodging program exceeds $75 per night, per family. Families are asked to donate $15 per night of lodging. Families are never turned away; if it’s not possible to pay, the fee is waived. McDonald’s is proud to be our Mission Partner and their ongoing support provides up to 15% of our annual income.
Our 30-guest room House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
