Pop Tab Program
Collecting pop tabs is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling while raising funds to help children and their families at the same time. Collect Pop Tabs at home, work, school, church or in your community organization, then drop the tabs off at Ronald McDonald House® and we’ll be happy to recycle them for you. If you live out of town, you may also recycle the tabs yourself and donate the proceeds to the House.
Bring your pop tabs to us or to our recycler:

Kids Pulling For Kids Annual Pop Tab Collection Contest – UPDATE
Thank you for supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico by donating to our Pop Tab program!
Due to COVID-19, the School Pop Tab Collection Contest remains suspended until further notice. You can still collect pop tabs and donate them to help RMHC-NM raise funds. Simply drop off your pop tabs at the Ronald McDonald House (1011 Yale Blvd. NE), at Rudy’s Downtown Recycling (1224 2nd Street NW in Albuquerque), or mail them to us. We suggest using zip lock bags, coffee cans, or any other container with a large opening to collect your tabs. (Containers with a small opening, like a milk jug, are difficult to empty.)
PLEASE NOTE: many manufacturers of soup, pet food, etc. are now using steel cans with pull tabs. The steel tabs are not a part of this recycling program – only aluminum tabs. Not sure how to tell? Steel tabs stick to a magnet, but aluminum tabs will not.
Thank you again for your help in providing a “home-away-from-home” for New Mexico families with critically ill children. We could not do this important work without your support!
For more information, call (505) 842-8960 or email contactus@rmhc-nm.org.
