Volunteer Opportunities

FAMILY SERVICES DESK
This position serves at our Yale or Highlands House programs as our first line of welcome and care. Volunteers answer phones and direct calls, check guest families in and out, and help with other tasks.

HOUSEKEEPING
If you like to clean or have a knack for neatness, this might be a perfect position for you. Includes linen collection, washing, folding, restocking food, organizing laundry supplies, and cleaning.

MAINTENANCE
Help keep our House programs running smoothly. You’ll be vital in keeping things operating, from cleaning vents to repainting pergolas to taking care of repairs.

GUEST CHEF
Groups of up to 8 people plan a menu, purchase food, and prepare dinner for families staying in our Yale and Highlands House programs. Assistance is also needed on days RMHC-NM staff preps, cooks, and serves dinner.

RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOM®
Located at the UNM Hospital and Presbyterian downtown Hospital, our Family Room volunteers welcome families, maintain kitchen and living spaces, schedule laundry facilities and sleep rooms. This position requires a minimum six-month commitment.

All volunteers must be fully vaccinated due to close contact with families.
